Athens, the capital city of Greece, is one of the most popular destinations for travelers in Europe and probably the rest of the world. It is situated in the prefecture of Attica and extends to the peninsula that reaches up to Central Greece. It is surrounded by mountains Ymmytos, Pendeli and Parnitha to the north and east, and the Saronic Gulf in the south and west.

What To Do:

Due to its mild climate and old world charm, Athens is a perfect getaway for everyone. Make each day enjoyable by exploring all the beautiful places of Athens.

• Swim in Vouliagmeni This is situated just 20 kilometers from the center of Athens, on the eastern edge. Vouliagmeni is also known for its famous lake with the mineral water spa and an outstanding mild climate. • Go see the Acropolis The Acropolis hill or the “Sacred Rock” of Athens is the most important site of the city and constitutes one of the most recognizable monuments of the world. • Explore the Acropolis Museum It is located on the sacred rock, east of the Parthenon. It houses some of the most important sculptures of ancient Greek art. • Visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus It was an enormous structure, the largest temple in Greece, exceeding even the Parthenon in size.
